Just read viewer comments and I must say the words “ignorant” and “uninformed” come to mind. I’ll bet very few of you own a home. Any one heard of the inhertance tax? Obama wants to remove Bush’s tax break. For those who are uninformed or who have never lost a parent this means for example “A family since 1880 has owned 500 acres of land now valued at $800K. Only item on land is beautiful acres of timber. Under Obama the child who is a teacher making 40K will have to pay 50% of the value of the land just to keep it! Only way the child can keep families land is to clear cut the timber. Well, that’s great for the environment besides making the land look awful! Under Bush, the child would not pay anything to keep her families land under Obama exactly 100 acres will be gone! It’s tough enough losing a loved one but gov. taking 1/2 of their worth, HORRIBLE!

it’s not ignorant or uninformed if no one has had anything remotely close to what you’ve expirienced. not every middle class family owns farmland, many people live in subdivisions or cities and neighborhoods. so you can see how alot of people wouldn’t understand where you come from, or know about specific policies directed your way. also people are allowed to have their own opinions on whatever candidate they so choose, it is ignorant to think that others are stupid or misinformed when they dont believe in your values….

Middle Class? If you actually HAVE $400,000 to pay the tax, I would consider you rich, not middle class. I just had to cash in my retirement so I can keep my home, ie pay my mortgage, while I’m waiting for a full-time job – and I also pay the fee for COBRA so I can continue my health coverage. When people who HAVE money have to pay taxes, I really can’t weep for them when I’m living pay check to pay check.
