Awesome

he wasn’t a dictator he was a hero; we could learn some lessons from cuba.

Mr. L

(reading from government-instituted script) That’s UnAmerican!

Jayson

Heroes can BECOME dictators… perhaps both?

Like how to run a country into poverty, starvation and squalor. Yeah, good point. Wonder why so many Cubans die trying to LEAVE?

Knowledge of history: FAIL, Michael Moore Kool-Aid drinker: WIN

(Oh, but most Cubans can read. Mustn’t forget about that.)

Actually, Cuba is doing very well with the resources they have available. Infant mortality rate and illitteracy are among the lowest in the world and they have good healthcare and educational systems. You can use the communist propoganda tool called the CIA factbook to confirm this. The US embargo might have something to do with starvation and poverty, although some people argue that not being allowed to trade with other countries doesn’t limit economical growth and that they have themselves to blame.

They’re not doing all that well on freedom of speach and options when voting however. I’ll give you that ;)

Speaking of freedom of speech, OK they won’t kill you for saying something they don’t want you to, but if they really don’t want it to come out, you’ll be out of business and don’t expect any kind of help if anything happens to you while you got no job, no insurance, nothing.
There’s also the brainwashing aspect with carefully selected information on the news and topics on TV shows and publicity everywhere.
Are we really allowed to even think freely? Risk being labeled as a weirdo or whatever? Isn’t it better to conform? To belong? To identify with our surrounding society and never question it?

OK I’ve said enough.
My conclusion: Humanity is pathetic, no matter the form of government.

“to run a country into poverty, starvation and squalor…” that is thanks to american government, open your eyes!!!

Fernando

Do you actually know any Cubans? If you have family that had their businesses expropriated or relatives tortured in political prisons, you wouldn’t call him a hero.

Koki Kariya

One man’s hero is another man’s terrorist.

It’s just too bad to find out that Castro could only use his left foot.

shboom

I guess they look sort of alike in these photos, but they look nothing alike on an everyday basis. Castro looks more like that serial killer that killed Versace except with a beard.

mike

ill asume that this web portraits people that look alike, LOOK not live Daniel Day Lewis fan number 1!!!

Mary

Yeah, Cuba is SO great, that’s why everyone is trying to move there!

Jules

Castro looks more like Robert Deniro with a beard there.

Christopher

I drink your MILKSHAKE!!!

Xiongmao Simba

It looks like D.D-L. was playing F.C. in a movie. Was he not? O_o

Peter Johnson

The Daniel Day Lewis still is from My Left Foot — I have it on tape.

“Because it is my NAME!”

((Allusion to Daniel Day-Lewis’ part as John Proctor in The Crucible.))
