  7. Leah says:

  8. !null says:

Excellent use of this site.. the regular ones just don’t make me laugh much anymore. Or often not at all.

  9. Christopher says:

    Very well done.

  10. winatikathejawa says:

The U.S. economy just got SERVED!

  11. belgian girl says:

    good one!

  12. Not You says:

Although, that train wreck is kind of an understatement (although it is on the federal railroad’s train that wrecked)

  13. FaceMan says:

best one so far, i think

  14. A says:

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Sproc07 says:

HAHAHA! I scared my dog because I laughed so loud.

  16. Ope N. Wyde says:

This wouldn’t happen if the following situation didn’t happen 10 million times:

“Hey, honey! Wanna go buy a house for our 8 kids?”
“Oh, dear, you know we can’t afford a house.”
“Oh, it’s no worry! I’m sure the U.S. government will certainly take care of its incoming immigrants with no money!”
    “Are you sure?”
“I’d bet 4 of our mortgages on it.”

    • fnnkybutt says:

      Hyperbole much?

    • Skwearlly Bob says:

      Them’s whatcha calls NINJA LOANS!

NINJA = No Income No Job Accepted

Democratic Controlled Congress wanted All the “Poor People” to Have a “HOME OF THEIR OWN” despite the fact that simple common sense tells you that “Poor” usually means “Cannot Afford”!. I could go on… just read the news instead.

      • herb says:

… Just like all those people voting for the deregulation of the free market were closet Democrats, right?

Because Clinton suggested loosening the constraints a bit, he’s solely to blame, versus the seven additional years wherein those constraints were completely removed, taken out back, and burned in a giant bonfire.

I’m curious when the last time Bob read the news, given he thinks that the Democrat-controlled Congress accomplished all of this in a scant two years, when all these shady loans came about years before.

FYI: FoxNews & MSNBC exhibit punditry, not journalism; I suggest people study up on the differences.

      • mike says:

This is the most intelligent comment I’ve heard in a long time, all these follers out there just want to blaim all our problens on bush, think about the democrats or the CRATS as i call them have had true control for a long time. They spend so much time trying to stay on the good side of people they dont think of the repercussion. Bama is going to do this all over again CHANGE would be republications with control of congress for once in 20 years than we will bet some true change, and bring our contry back to the playing field

        • sophia says:

well said, but lets try to not specify as republicans or democrats, since both parties just want whats best. those kinds of comments arent going to solve anything, but people will get the idea you feel like you’re better that them, if you separate us into a group, like,”well you’re just a democrat, so shut up”, or whatever. nothing personal is intended, i’m sure, but the current state of the economy has little to do with individual actions, and more to do with years of both parties competing for control, both trying to help the country, and some things along the way got mixed up. and dont you for a second think you know what obama is going to do, or whether or not he will screw up. i didn’t vote for him because he isn’t nearly experienced enough, but everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt. judge him on what he has done (which is bad enough) or better yet, dont judge him at all.

  17. D'oh says:

This one is wrooooong, for a simple reason: it should be the WORLD economy is a wreck :P

    • MSCR says:

Rest of world still okay, actually. Just America is broken. Local media just likes to pretend it will affect us somehow. They like to pretend celebrities will affect us too, so you can’t trust them.

      • thaluikhain says:

Well, though, if people believe it’ll affect the rest of the world, they’ll lose confidence in the stock market and it will affect the rest of the world.

      • Martian says:

What planet are you from? The whole world is experiencing a crisis in the financial markets…. not just the US.

      • D'oh says:

That’s definatly not true, here in Holland we’ve got troubles as well (we just nationalised a bank) and have you heard about Iceland? Also, stock markets all over the world are plumiting. It’s definatly not just the US ;)

  18. Jennifer Zandstra says:

    LOL, nice!

  19. Silver says:

    THAT made my day! ^^

  20. Destin says:

    Epic win.

  21. felixmarcus says:

    brilliant!

  22. Morgan says:

Sorry, I don’t like this at all…Leave the political stuff to Pundit Kitchen. The link is right up there…

  23. unexplained_paranoia says:

    Buh-zing

  24. Christine says:

although this is a great look-a-like, perhaps the economy should be compared to a mushroom cloud?

  25. Wolfram says:

The best ever “not even close” because it’s true.

But change it to global economy.

  26. Kelene says:

It’s actually not funny. That accident happened less than 2 miles from my home. A couple of people died and many were injured.

    • kels says:

They arent laughing at the train wreck in of itself, they were pointing out just how horrific the economy is right now. It is THAT BAD. If you are looking for sensitive nice humor you should go somewhere else or stay on icanhascheezburger, because this site (especially pundit kitchen) is not for you.

      • ClickClick says:

Actually, this site IS for Kelene. Every picture may not appeal to every person. That’s what the COMMENTS are for, to express how someone feels.
What the COMENTS are NOT for is to tell somebody they don’t belong.
Which I am tempted to now tell YOU, kels, but instead I will refrain.

    • D'oh says:

Getting the point of the picture FAIL (yes yes, this is not the Fail site).

    • hamjudo says:

It’s also not funny to those who lived near the man in Los Angeles who killed his family and then himself because he lost so much when the market crashed. Sadly, the economy has already claimed far more victims than that train crash.

We can laugh at the metaphor. It is called gallows humor.

  27. Weegee says:

man this blows… im goin to canada, at least they’re laidback

    • Enigmatick says:

We may be laid back, but our economy is not doing so great, either. Our dollar just nosedived against the U.S. Dollar, and the cost of living here is about to soar.

      • lolbukkit says:

And your health care system is kinda sucky.

        • Amber says:

Our health care system is fine, don’t believe everything you hear. The health care system saved my dad’s life, for FREE (broken neck), and saved my best friend’s life, for next to nothing (heart transplant). Though my family almost went to the poor house because it took both my parents out of work while we were building a house, it could’ve been much worse. I have had friends who went to hospitals for broken bones and only had to pay for renting crutches. The waiting line at the ER sucks, but when you get pretty good care without your family starving to pay for it, it makes up for the time.

    • Skwearlly Bob says:

      Tahiti
Very far away, totally outta the loop, nuthin to worry about.

  28. Mike says:

While I can see the resemblance, (and it’s very funny), maybe this should go on Pundit Kitchen?

You guys should see Zimbabwe’s economy though…

  29. lolbukkit says:

I’m not sure that train wreck is an accurate depiction. Perhaps if the train were on fire……

  30. Tyaru says:

WHY do we have a stockmarket from the beginning?

    • mojojo says:

So everyone can make some money. Except you. Actually, they’ll be taking some of your money. And then when they get the bailout, they’ll go on holiday (with your money) and you can wonder how you’re going to pay for your new shiny home. Thanks for playing! Aren’t you glad you got some input in all this?

      BAH.

  31. ClickClick says:

    EXCELLENT question!
    Anyone?

  32. Laughingman36 says:

I don’t get it why post a train wreck twice? of course a train wreck looks like a train wreck

    lol

  33. gdagad says:

“Deregulation is good for the economy” is about as mindless as the utterance “strategery.”

  34. Pirate77 says:

    Best ever.

  35. Martian says:

umm.. NO. The crisis isn’t the stock market (s)… they are just a bad symptom of what is going on. They aren’t the cause, they are just suffering because of the FINANCIAL crisis. If the stock market (s) didn’t exist, this would still have happened.

  36. Bev says:

    AMEN TO THAT!

  37. Xilef says:

I’d rather experience the right one then the left!

  38. Lavirous says:

OMFG That’s hilarious! I just busted out laughing at work! Sad and so true…

  39. Uncle B says:

I am looking to build a ‘zero running cost, zero upkeep’ shelter for my retirement. It will also consume ‘zero’ oil or oil products to operate. I will not have the elaborate American Movie star lifestyle in this home, I only hope to keep my wrinkled old ass out of the cold and fed enough to survive. I want to design in the latest scientific and technological means of reducing upkeep and running costs, including, geothermal heating, cooling, solar electric LED lighting, wind power, super insulation, greenhouse and garden complete with gray water and rainwater systems, solar oriented buildings for passive solar heating, sized for reasonable living at zero running costs – no McMansion for a Barbie doll sex toy, just a practical nest for lowest possible costs for every day living or retirement. and If the government will help me do this I will let them too! If every McMansion built in the heyday of construction boom were an asset like this to the nation instead of unusable multi room extravagant unheatable luxury sized mansions falling into boarded up plundered disuse we wouldn’t be in this mess!

    • Captain Pants says:

I completely agree, great idea, but everyone just decided to start doing these kinds of things.
      Now that it’s to late.

  40. Maldita says:

    yeah… funny but true

  41. missy may says:

loves it!!….ahahahaa the US got pwnd!….wait…but this is true! :( ….i got pwnd too!

  42. Nugget501st says:

Train wrecks can be cleaned up.

  43. dillsmack says:

Should read Global Economy, or are the rest of you still in denial?

  44. ash says:

    I cracked up.

  45. rob says:

YOU COMMUNIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!but its true =( your still communist

  46. Jillian says:

    It’s obviously the same picture.

  47. sean says:

Are u kidding me? epic fail they dont look alike at all!!! lol jk

  48. a spider is in my ass (REALLY) says:

the us economy actually does look like a train wreck if you tilt your head to the right about 45 degrees

  49. Nik says:

Smartest one I’ve seen so far. Very nice.

  50. Turkey says:

LOL . Very funny…very true… what has the world come to?

  51. Mr. R says:

I believe that would be the WORLD economy.

I would be lying to myself to say that we didn’t own the world though, so kudos to you for your incredibly deep insight.

  52. Bekaaaah says:

Thats very true, and funny. Nice thinking hahahaha :)

  53. 344thBrother says:

    Yeah funny and sad.

but the train should be on fire and exploding, the people should be running screaming and the police should be tasing, beating, shooting and choking people out as they run away. And the congress should be making laws that people running and screaming from train wrecks are guilty of hate speech and potential terrorists.

  54. tails says:

while somewhat true, the pictures don’t resemble each other at all :|

  55. llc says:

this is the best one that i’ve seen on this site, and it’s still true.
