Indeed. I was thinking that when they showed that video-biography of mcCain before his speech at the GOP convention. (I only watched that because my Republican roommate was watching it. Honest!)

Unfortunately, in some indirect illegitimate illogical subconscious way, this resemblance makes the whole “Maverick” thing fit.

That EXACTLY what I was thinking. I’ve also seen kitteh and goggie pictures that have been redone exactly as someone else did them several months ago, yet they still get through and make the front page. If that’s all I have to do, well… that’s EASY!
