I think that the problem is that the chimpanzee is apolitical — well, maybe not. I understand that he is a relative of Nancy Pelosi. It is putting Obamessiah next to the Communist that is “offensive” -probably to the White House and David Axelrod, who resembles Hitler. Moreover, Ezhov was rather notorious as a Communist. (BTW: My wife was born, raised and lived in soviet Russia from Stalin on. From the start of Chairman Maobama’s campaign she was afraid of seeing her old life emerge here.) This IS censorship — haven’t you seen the recent moves to control the Internet by the White House and the Democrat Cingress. The excuse is that they want to make its content “more balanced.” The Red Chinese have been doing the same “balancing act” with the Internet for some time now. Even visitors to the Beijing Olympics were censored.

excuse Me while I wrestle with this content issue. So, we cannot have a picture of the President Elect next to a picture of a Socialist/Communist… Is that the gist of what I’m seeing here? But, we CAN have a picture of the Sitting President next to a picture of a chimpanzee… Well, if we can’t make fun of the president elect, then we can’t make fun of the president… I demand that the picture on the last page of the website be removed. Who at the White House contacted them to have it pulled? Chairman Maobama himself? Obama looks like Ezhov (Yezhov) and vice versa. I guess that’s offensive to our imperial Obamessiah. Yes, it Is a bad thing, let Me tell you Why… Because, why should I dump 35% of My income, that I worked for, doing 12.5hr shifts into the hands of a government that is Going to mismanage it? I donate out of every paycheck to a charity, so that’s moot. I don’t make $250,000 a year, hell, I don’t make $100,000 a year, but My taxes are gonna go up because I make more than the national average. Of course I had to make sacrifices and I had to keep a clean record and I had to have an education and training and I had to take responsibility for My own actions, but ya know, not everyone can do those things… So you know, they gotta take My money to make it all even out.

Actually. in English you can put it the “Y” — in Russian, there is no “Y” and so “E” os pronounced “YEH.” Therefore, Ezhov can be considered correct to some extent. However it would be more correct if the “E” were used with the Russian/Cyrillic letter we characterize “ZH” with — and is impossible for me to enter here. And the English “V” at the end is written as a “B” in the Cyrillic alphabet. Anyway, it’s nit-picking relative to the subject matter.

Ezhov was the head of the Soviet NKVD (what we later knew as the KGB) during Stalin’s Great Purge (or, as they call it in Russia, “The Terror”) from 1936 to 1938.

You can see below that the above picture of Ezhov was not made up. Actually, the picture is interesting — Stalin is posed like Napoleon and Ezhov like Hitler.

Considering that Stalin was not very tall (5’6”), you can guess how tall Ezhov was. Any way, under Stalin’s command, Ezhov was responsible for over 680,000 executions and many more deaths of people he sent to the Gulag. He set quotas for each region (oblast) for the number of daily executions. It didn’t matter if the condemned guy had done anything. He’d get a call to report to the People’s Commissariat of Justice (or whatever they called it) and told to sit outside of an office and wait. After a while, somebody would come out of the office and say, “Citizen, you have just been condemned to death …” Two soldiers would appear; take the guy out to the courtyard; and BANG! No indictment, no defense, no appeal — and the guy would never know why he was being killed — it was the quota.

He was responsible for the deaths of 27,000 Russian military officers — which didn’t help Russia when WWII started.

Ezhov fell out of favor with Stalin — probably because Stalin never kept any of his people around who knew where the bodies were buried — and was executed just before the war. KGB head Beria was the luckiest — he made it until Stalin died; then Khrushchev knocked him off.

With all the czars that Obama has in his administration — and there could only be ONE czar in Russia — I wonder how many of these are actually commissars.
