Bale went crazy over that movie. I believe I remember reading an interview with him in which he said he was eating an apple, a can of tuna, and water every day for something around 4 months to play that part.

I’m sure that’s been pretty rough for him.
Until you have actually seen the movie, I wouldn’t say it was glorifying the killer. I am quite positive considering that Leto is a musician himself he understands the significance that Lennon and the rest of the Beatles have had on the musical side of the world to this day and onward, and would not want to glorify his killer in any way. Although, that is purely speculation. I have not seen this movie.
Oddly enough, today is the 28th anniversary of Lennon’s death.

btw the MEDIA glorifies killers every single day so dont blame Jared for it, i know that upsets you if you are a big fan of Lennon but that is they way it was. Its not like they want to make you like the killer after watching it, they want you to think its horrible there are those freaks around every day !

I’m with you wholeheartedly, Lennon Fan. Never heard of Leto or that movie, but the mere mention of the psycho-murderer should be forbidden by law. The void created by the loss of Lennon’s wit, insight and, yes, human compassion has never been even partially filled.

neither of them look like that now (those pictures are both ANCIENT), so i consider this a fail.

As for boycotting Chapter 27, that’s your perogative however films will continue to be made about murderers, assassins and serial killers. You can’t stop them from being made OR viewed. Its part of history and a human interest story
The film never sympathizes with Mark David Chapman. Anyone that identifies or feels sorry for the socially inept MDC has severe issues themselves. MDC definately is a deranged and disturbed individual. the film only attempts to show the downward spiral 3 days prior to the murder based on interview tapes from him detailing that time period
Well since only girls under 16 like Jared Leto anyways, I figure boycotting is the right thing to do…and plus, any movie with lindsey lohan in it is definitly one I dont want to see. While I understand that killers are glorified every day, it does not make it okay. If you really disagree with me, that’s cool, but it’s probably just because you watch that video with the d-bags on a glacier…grow up and listen to real music not your faux rock emo crap…cause, the beatles were, are and will always be awesome.
