I’ve always thought Roombas were creepy. I don’t know what it is about them. They just bother me. Anyway, I think it would be hilarious if someone mistakenly bought a landmine instead of a Roomba. Of course, that’s despite the fact that there’s a huge price difference and landmines aren’t available to the general public. (They’re not, right?) Yeah. I have a sick sense of humor.

Whats funny is the woman Helen Greiner, who invented the roomba was asked by the military to modify it help clear caves and bunkers, search buildings and cross live anti-personnel minefields. She did and now and I quote her…
“The PackBot EOD has been used on thousands of bomb disposal missions and we are very proud of its life saving function. The one pictured was sent back to us from Iraq for analysis after a bomb detonated. In most missions, the PackBot EOD returns safely, but in the case where it is blown up, better a robot than a soldier.
She is an American Hero in my book.

A roomba is a little automated vacuum cleaner. I believe it goes around the room in concentric circles, and adjusts its path when it bumps into something.

I personally think it would much more funny if a reporter mistaked the mine for a roomba:
“Today in international news, two american soldiers were killed when a seemingly harmless roomba exploded violently upon being trod upon.”
“The cause is as of yet unknown, though it is expected that jihad is now using these roombas to confuse soldiers into attempting to step near them before detonating”
