Perhaps Mr. Nye was or is the reborn A. Lincoln, or maybe he is Leonard Swett reborn. Swett was a lawyer friend of Mr. Lincoln’s who had similar facial features to Mr. Lincoln.

that’s actually middle aged Abe Lincoln, however Abe Lincoln was suffering at all ages from bilateral ptosis, which deteriorated as he grew older. In addition, years of traumatic events and numerous cranial and eye injuries over the years exacerbated his condition.
this is actually a picture of Lincoln as a young man, at 6-4 and 215 pounds, a solid wrestler and river boatman

Agree with everyone! Spot on, no backwards comparisons, and the fact that there’s a remote possibility of actually meeting Mr. Nye is totally cool. Wish he’d been my science teacher! (I’d like to meet Mr. Lincoln too, but my time machine is borked.)
