It was a logo proposal and eventually wasn’t accepted. Poles have ą,ę,ć,ń,ż,ź,ó thingies (among the others).

OMG!! they TOTALLY stole that image from the Polish town. Lookit the inner-part of the ring (or whatever you wanna call it). See the basic mis-shapen “shape” of ithe Gay one? It has that SAME, mis-shapen shape as the Polish city one. THAT IS NO COINKI-DINK. . . True, it is not the EXACT shape, but that mis-shapen shape bears the same “random” variations. Seriously, look at it. Concentrate on the inner-ring.
Now, I can see the obvious: the yellow and red wedges are just about the same. THAT ALONE constitutes a very solid defense in saying the image was ripped-off. But then that inside-ring. Jeeeesh! It’s one thing to borrow from something for inspiriation because you like it, but it’s entirely ANOTHER to basically COPY an image, but change just a timy amount of details to say it’s an original.
If I were that Polish town – I would SUE. I would sue for BLATANTLY STEALING this image for use in promoting anti-Human population (gays don’t MAKE babies with each other). Homosexuality basically does away with the traditions that POULATED OUR EARTH WITH HUMANS. The gays say “To hell with making babies, let’s kill-off our existence and screw each other in the place we crap out of”. Now this town is FOREVER LINKED with pole-smoking, anal-lube, fish-diving, carpet-munching and fudge-packing. I would sue.

Believe it or not, I am the Graphic Designer who actually designed the LGBTCC logo. It was done when I was working at FutureBrand in New York City around 2000-01. I assure I did not steal the idea or artwork from the Polish town’s logo or any other logo. In fact, I had designed a rough version of the logo for something else (the concept is multiple components coming together) and it happened to work for this client. Someone else refined my original sketch (mine had many more pieces coming together and overlapping), into what you see now. As soon as I saw it, it reminded me of a puckered a$$. I don’t keep it in my portfolio and am very amused to see it online on this site. As far as logos go- there are so many similar versions of abstract geometric logos out there- I’m sure there are at least 10 more that look just like these two do.
