1, 2, 5!
3 sir.
3!
“… First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it…”
This movie should be in Once upon a win.
Armaments Chapter 2
Verses 9-21
The liquor bottle does not allow you to feast upon the lambs, and the sloths, and the orangutans, and the fruit bats, and the entropees …..
…and the breakfast cereals.
… and the breakfast cereals …
That’s kind of fail – the liquer bottle is meant to look like an orb, I should think. Even if the orb in the picture is a fictional one.
Is it not the Sovereign’s Orb (on which the said Holy Hand Grenade was modelled?). I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure this is part ot the Crown Jewels.
thatnk you! I couldn’t think of the name, but I knew it wasn’t the Holy Hand Grenade! It can’t be, it’s scattered among white bunny parts near a cave!
O Lord, bless this Thy hand grenade that, with it, Thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits in Thy mercy.
*high fives*
…And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, “O Lord, bless this Thy hand grenade that with it Thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits, in Thy mercy.” And the Lord did grin and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats and large chu… [At this point, the friar is urged by Brother Maynard to "skip a bit, brother"]… And the Lord spake, saying, “First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.” Amen.[1]
WINNAGE
My favorite part of that whole bit was Eric Idle nodding or shaking his head so reverently. =D
BOTH those things are incredible WINS!
Dude, my brother and I have been calling Chambord “the holy hand grenade” for years! It’s exciting to see it here!
WIN. ULTRA ULTRA WIN.
I happen to be watching Monty Python as I write. I should go get some Chambord for tonight… ^_^
Both are modeled after the Sovereign’s Orb,, it is a religious symbol; it represents the Monarch’s role as Defender of the Faith and as Supreme Governor of the Church of England.
ARGH! this website used to be awesome when people would just post people look alikes, but now peoples use objects?!?! I hate it
We ran out of people.
And STILL a most definate WIN for it’s coolness and for the fact that Monty Python is involved.
1,2,5!
3, sir!
3!
excellent.
Let thou blow Thy enemies to smithereens!
5 Is Right out!
I’ve always thought this!! Ahhahahaa! XD
It looks like the Vivian Westwood logo as well

I find it funny that the orb in the picture is neither the Sovereign’s Orb or the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.
either/or,
neither/nor.
I’ve done way better
I’ve been sayin’ that since I first saw a bottle over a year and a half ago (when I started working in a liquor store). Except it’s more of a blackish color when there’s actually liquor in it.
Ah, reminds me of my champagne and Chambord days oh so long ago. Don’t know how I could stand the stuff.
Yeah, Chambord is intentionally modeled after the Sovereign’s Orb which is part of the Crown Jewels.
The Sovereign’s Orb is also called Globus Cruciger. I’ve spend months researching this products for my oenology class! Chambord was modeled off of it to represent the Royal connection of the liqueur since King Louis XIV ‘discovered’ Chambord on one of his many hunting trips at the Chambord Castle. As a matter of fact, he did not discover the product.. he was only presented a alternative to what we today call the Chambord liqueur.. it was still in the making process at that time..
Ahhh.. my friend got one of these for his 19th. Everyone in the room just started quoting that movie “Three is the number” and so forth. Good times.
Do not use as a suppository, an egg substitute for Easter events, or in combination with the Holy Flame Thrower of Bethlehem.
tis the only weapon to deal with those murderous bunny rabbits!
“And the Lord did grin, and the people did feast upon the lambs, and sloths, and carp, and anchovies, and orangutans, and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats…”
The funny thing? I totally bought a bottle of that stuff because it looked like the Holy Hand Grenade.
my family had this bottle for the longest time, and its nickname was always “the holy hand grenade”. i never thought to make a post about it though >.<
Maybe this was the problem…

I have a Chambord bottle and yes, my then-BF (now hubby) ran around with it yelling “I have the Holy Hand Grenade!!!” once.
Me and my friends have had a running joke about this bottle for years now… it’s tasty stuff too!!
I do believe ASDA sell them in the UK if you happen to be in the vicinity…
\m/
Green
I have seen that bottle so many times that i actually start seeing that exact seen from the movie and I start to whisper the words from said seen and my friends look at me like i’m crazy it pisses me off sooooooooo much god! arrg!
This comparison is a win just for mentioning Monty Python.
LMFAO
LOL, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT IT LOOKED LIKE WHEN I FIRST SAW IT AT MY LOCAL LIQUOR STORE
Yeah, this is funny that the Chambord bottle does look like the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch. However, upon closer inspection, the body of the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch is actually made up of a coconut.
