Basic Instinct Totally Looks Like Betrayed

That’s… alarmingly similar.
there have been a lot that where…
thats crazy similar!
“Betrayed” is not the name of the movie, it’s the working title. It’s actually called “Bound by Lies”. Yeah, I couldn’t sleep one night, and it was on one of our movie channels. Pretty crappy.
This is actually the DVD cover. It might be an alternative title, like “The Professional” and “Leon”.
I’ve never seen Betrayed/Bound By Lies, but spotted the DVD in the store one day and laughed myself silly. Hence my Googling it years later to do a lookalike.
Weird. According to IMDB and my Showtime movie guide, it was “Bound By Lies”. Maybe they’re trying to separate themselves from this DVD cover because it’s a blatant copy.
lol, in the first pic the man is better looking, while in the second pic, the girl is better looking XD in my opinion of course
Agreed. The girl in the first one isn’t ugly, but looks like she wants to kill someone. The guy in the second one is… just normal.
Very astute. In the first one (“Basic Instinct”), she DID kill someone . . .
I think it should be “Betrayed” (2005) looks like “Basic Instinct” (1992)
Yeah – people get that backwards a lot.
Comparative Statements, people. Look it up.
Fail. “looks like” is transitive.
Exactly. Anybody who’s complaining about the order needs to take the stick out of their butt.
Syntax 101 fail.
“Betrayed” is the subject of the sentence, assigned the AGENT theta-role and “Basic Instinct” is the object, assigned the PATIENT theta-role , meaning that “Betrayed” is performing the action and “Basic Instinct” is undergoing it. The two cannot be interchanged due to set theta role assignments in the syntax of English in any verb phrase.
There has never been a harder ownage.
There has never been a bigger stick up one’s butt.
Steve’s twin looks like Steve. Steve looks like his twin. Both true statements. Age is irrelevant.
Yes; in that statement age is irrelevant, because twins are the same age.
Technically there is an older twin, one has to come out first. (Had to say it, sorry!)
Sure, they come from the womb simultaneously.
*golf clap*
At least here the one that “looks like” the
other hasn’t been dead forever…
!
It appears there is a price to be paid for knowing how to speak the English language. Maybe it is just Americans who get angry and defensive when they are caught making a grammatical error?
LucyLizard, this site is for humor. Nobody cares about what you just said, nor what any of the other grammar-nazi’s, or which-came-first-nazi’s or I’m-so-tired-of-whatever-nazi’s say. Even in Hogan’s Heroes, the Nazi’s weren’t that funny.
If you (plural) don’t find humor in something, then SKIP TO THE NEXT PICTURE !!
If none of these pictures entertain you anymore, THEN GO TO ANOTHER SITE !
Fail. I care.
Fail, “is transitive” get a life.
hahahh ‘fail’ is intransitive: Suzi failed. Period. no object needed
“Financial statements covering different dates but prepared consistently and therefore lending themselves to comparative analysis, as accounting convention requires. Comparative figures reveal trends in a company’s financial development and permit insight into the dynamics behind static balance sheet figures.”
I don’t see the connection.
As far as I know, the order of comparative statements does not matter. You are simply stating that one thing is similar to another. You are not implying which one existed first or whatnot.
Order matters in cases where something is being compared to something else that is already pre-established. A phrase such as “looks like” implies that the first object is trying to resemble the second object. In this case “Basic Instinct” came first and is not trying to look like “Betrayed”, rather “Betrayed” looks like (is trying to imitate, or accidentally resembles) the already established “Basic Instinct”.
Order also matters because order matters in sentence structure. This is a case of subject-object confusion.
“The apple ate the boy,” is a much different sentence than “The boy at the apple.”
If you like – on the fly hearing
“Aw….You look just like your Daddy!”
sounds better than
“Aw…You look just like your son.”
and one definitely came before the other.
The second is appropriate however when the Son was who you knew first. Therefore if they saw the newer movie first, the comparison is appropriate.
(And they are majorly ignorant. – but technically correct.)
I actually thought of that, AFTER I’d just finished uploading and resizing. It was too much of a hassle to redo them the other way round, so I left it.
Wow… they didn’t even TRY!
The tagline for “Betrayed” sounds a lot like “Basic Instinct,” as well…
man i think they did that so people not paying attention can accidentally pick up the wrong movie.
I don’t know what you’re talking about. They are completely different.
Clearly Michael Douglas’ head is angled up while Stephen Baldwin is looking straight ahead and he has hair falling in his eyes. AND, Sharon Stone’s hair is poofy and unparted but Kristy Swanson’s is parted and close to her head. Not to mention Sharon’s head is angled downward while Kristy’s is not.
I think you’re just looking for similarities.
no. you are just looking for excuses to try and use your asian mind powers and make us feel dumb. go fall in a ditch.
Hey those Asian mind powers aren’t easy to come by. I had buy every Hello Kitty product known to man before I found mine.
Are YOU Hello Kitty Darth Vader?
No, but he’s my hero!
Wow, way to catch the satire.
What are these incredibly gay things that look similar
omg! thats exact!
Not to mention, Stephen Baldwin and Kristi Swanson? OMG the dynamic acting ability!! OMG call the Academy!! OMG OMG!!!
Kristi sure is a pretty thang though… not that this means jack in regards to acting ability…
You know what else is similar about these movies? I’m never going to watch them.
^ Best comment of all
AGREED.
Batgirl’s comment FTW!
I already stated it with the last two dvd covers that looked alike; I worked at a dvd rental, and I can give you at least a hundred dvd covers that look just as much alike as these two do. Hollywood really is THAT uncreative.
Which ones?
…soft bilge…
Originality fail.
but does it have a upskirt scene?
the girl there on betrayed looks like my freinds sister
I wonder how people think they can get away with such obvious copying. Whoever made this cover had to have known they were stealing it. Did they think no one would notice?
They er, did? get away with it. I mean, this picture exists, which means that it was produced. Just cause you caught it, that doesn’t mean crap.
oh snap!!!
it does totally look the same-ish
It Does look the same lol
It also looks like Twilight. Which suck -_-
