And, to stay on topic, that statue looks EXACTLY like DS9. I’m thinking maybe it was on purpose.

Statue has a supporting structure at the bottom. DS9 – middle
DS9 would sit on the extensions, while statue would sit on the supporting structure
The vertical arches on the statue extend beyond the ring…DS9 the ring is bigger then the vertical arches.
While it looks similar, it falls far of exact.

Yes, it does look like the DS9 Station.
For me:
DS9, VOG (close), TOS, ENT, TNG.

You called out TNG. Everybody remembers the great episodes only. But Voy was just TNG targeted for women.
um… i specifically remember a character on voyager named 7 of Nine. *drool* if she was targetted for woman then those women liked other women.

Geez so what the captain was female? the thing was frickin packed with action!!! it never comes on anymore so i watch ENT. DS9 i’ve never seen before. Star trek just plain sucks. Next gen comes in a close second for just plain sucks award. then comes deep space 9, and then comes enterprise.
Data didn’t try to get a date in Data’s Day, he learned to dance for the O’Brien wedding. He had a girlfriend in In Theory though…

It would be silly to pay that much for a statue, when it doesn’t have life support systems, or artificial gravity. I don’t think it even has blinkie lights.
The artist was probably watching DS9 at the time this was made, and they were chuckling the whole time at how sneaky they were being.
If I had $25 K to spare, I would rather seek to commission a highly detailed model of Deep Space Nine, instead of that fugly statue!
