This is an old debate, and she would make a terrible Wonder Woman. She’s too delicate and skinny. If Wonder Woman were to punch the sidewalk, it would crack. She does not look like she has the strength to make such an special effect believable.

Wonder Woman doesn’t need to be a beefcake, but they should have a look of strength about them. Lucy Lawless as Xena, for example. (Although that particular actress would be a bad choice for WW)
And as for the various DC incarnations? Google Image search for “Wonder Woman” and look at the recet artwork for her. She has strength and muscle tone, she’s just not just some bulimic supermodel with superpowers.

Lynda Carter is six feet one inch tall. And Wonder Woman is supposed to be an amazon — a member of a race of large, powerful women demi-goddesses. Morena Baccarin is not right for the role in spite of the fact she’s insanely beautiful.
Does she also only have one boob like the Amazons had?

I don’t think physique is too important, and in any case as Christian Bale has pretty well proven, you can always change the actor’s physique to fit the role if necessary.

Yeah when Whedon was on Wonder Woman (when Wonder Woman was still on), he joked something about “where can I find an olive skinned, black haired beauty?”. As much as she looks like WW in the face and hair, Inara is just too short and delicate for the role. She could bulk up all she wants but she couldn’t have the physical presence the character requires. She has the personality presence, but she’s just too small. Which sucks because I love her.
Chicken pot pie is LIGHT years better than turkey pot pie, in my opinion.

Umm, NightTrain? It wasn’t Joss’s fault. He had a script. But TPTB didn’t like his script. Go check out Whedonesque for the entire HUGE discussion re: Wonder Woman and who would’ve played her had Joss been kept on as script writer.
Morena is gorgeous and graceful, and I’d love to see her (And the rest of the Firefly cast, for that matter) get more exposure. So glad Nathan’s got “Castle.” And Adam’s in “Chuck.” But where are the rest? Is Jewel still in “Stargate: Atlantis”? I think Gina’s got a new show coming up, Alan’s going to be in something fairly soon, but where’s Sean? What’s Ron up to these days? (Besides scaring people with that laugh.) Too bad FOX canned “Terminator” – Summer owned that show.
Stargate Atlantis was cancelled, sadly. There’s supposed to be a tv movie coming up though. They shouldn’t have cancelled Firefly in the first place, anyway.
Sean’s doing a show on Lifetime and I think it was mentioned that Summer is going to be on Dollhouse.
They had to cut the archery teaching scene from Serenity because it made Inara look too much like Wonder Woman. But anyway she’s hot. Not all fights are won with weapons (sometimes you gotta sleep with the right people XD). In that way Serenity was a bit disappointing because they had to fight all the way through it.
It’s too bad about Dollhouse too. I was really getting into that show.
Dollhouse hasn’t been canned yet. We find out in a few weeks.
