They probably made a base and realized it looked like a penguin and tweaked the design to better look like one. It’s so cute! If it weren’t a useless gadget I’d want one.

seltzer costs around a $1/ liter. this does it for 20 cents per liter. plus saves sh1t loads of green house gasses by not paying to truck water all over. plus gives you BETTER tasting seltzer than what is in the store. plus you don’t have to return bottles.

Well of course it looks like a penguin, they don’t call it the Penguin Soda Maker for nothing! This one is kinda dumb in the sense that the Soda Maker was meant to look like a penguin. Not impressed!
Okay folks- let’s review:
“Totally looks like” is for things that unintentionally look like each other, or people with a creepy resemblance. The fact that Luke on General Hospital now looks like he could be the long lost twin of the guy from Saw- that’s funny. That’s a TLL.
Saying that the “Penguin soda maker” looks like a penguin is, well, LAME.
