other way around…. get it right
It doesm’t matter…. get it right
Actually, it DOES matter in terms of proper communication skills. The older should not be compared to the younger. Idiot.
It used to matter, but now the subject has been so fully covered as to make the point moot.
It’s a moo point. like a cows opinion. it doesn’t matter. It’s moo.
oink.
t.
Friends reference FTW
Look, if A totally looks like B, then B also totally looks like A. It doesn’t matter who’s older or who came first! It is so obvious!
ok…the idea is to say that “something” totally looks like “original something”. Example:
“This cloud formation totally looks like a cow.”
(Makes perfect sense, doesn’t it)
Saying:
“A cow totally looks like this cloud formation.” might be correct, but it
a) sounds crap and b) sort of spoils the fun
Concur
backward FAIL
For one, nowhere does it actually say that the idea is that A must be older then B (or the “original, as if looking like a curly-haired hobo somehow started with Bob Dylan).
Second, it only makes a difference if you’re an anal moron who give half an eff about this bloody website. To everyone else, most of which I assume have less time on their hands to care about insignificant nonsense such as this pitifully foolish argument, it sounds perfectly fine.
Second
What exactly, other than their similar hair cuts, looks alike? The eyes are different, the chin is different, their lips are kind of similar, and their noses aren’t vaguely similar.
I don’t see this one.
they’re both white with same haircut, similarity ends there…
I think the Adam Sandler vs Bob Dylan was better
Killjoys
And what’s worse is the fact that the haircut only looks good on Mr. Dylan over there.
The big issue, which people seem to forget all to often when making these pictures, is that their personalities don’t match. They’re not even opposites for that matter.
The funny thing about comparing a starlet to puppet is that they’re both empty headed Caricatures who’s body is near entirely of their body made from artificial material.
This, though, is like comparing apples and shoes.
The website is “Totally Looks Like” not “Totally Acts Like” so who gives an eff if they act completely different? No one, that’s who.
Their poses are similar, which can make the comparisons funny if you’re comparing someone to a muppet or a logo.
In this case I think it’s more than the hair and poses, though… their browlines are similar, the downturns of the mouths are similar, and I think their eyes do look similar. Not identical, but there’s a resemblance, sure.
Dylan has talent though. Haven’t seen an ounce out of the other kid.
That’s where you’re mistaken.
Andy is a great actor and comedian.
The youngest always looks like the oldest…..NOT the other way around. Get it right, it does matter.
To SOME it matters. Get it right
It matters to people who understand communication and rhetoric. GET IT RIGHT.
It matters to people who are anal about communication and rhetoric. GET-IT-RIGHT-ARRHGHRAHRAHGH!!!
Communication is about understandability. A writer can use exact terms and be expressing what s/he wants to perfectly, but if no one understands it, what’s the point?
I’m with FredRico and kbs – it DOES matter. The younger of two looks like the older, and the fake (cartoons, say) look like the real. Screwing this up just kills the joke.
So, with Gary Oldman’s Jim Gordon (non-animated, but newer) looking like Ned Flanders (Older, but a cartoon) Which goes first?
Here’s my suggestion to you – close your eyes, take a deep breath through the nose, hold it, and breathe out through you mouth. Repeat that a few times, and then schedule a colon-cleansing.
Anyway, this blows, they look nothing alike, and it still wouldn’t be funny if they did.
I think maybe Paul should have specified that the cartoon should always look like the real person… unless you’re talking about, say, one of the seven dwarves looking like a current congressman.
As both Gordon and Flanders are fictional, the normal rule applies and the older goes first.
When your colon-cleansing is performed, the doctor will most likely find a large stick up your butt.
you people take internets too seriously
Agreed
No offence to Bob Dylan (whose music I do like), but Andy Samberg is soooo sexy X3 He has the cutest smile. I love it.
Goddamn, I keep forgetting to remove the links from whatever comment I made last. Ignore Callum Blue.
i love sambergggggggg!
who doesnt hes AMAZING!!!!
“I HOPE YOU ENJOY BEING MARRIED TO SATAN!!!!”
If you cover their chins up, they def. look very similar. Haha.
OMG my eyes burn to good a look-a-like ;b
But does he sing as bad as BD?
Raaaagghhhhrrrrrr it’s backwards. Raaaagggghhhhhhhhh I’m so enraged.
meh.
I think his name is Adam, not Andy.
It’s Andy.
Andy Samberg totally looks like he wants to do me.
“Comedian” Andy Samberg? That can’t be right.
I got super happy when I found Andy (my idol ;3) on tottallylookslike.
And the “backwards”ness of this.. dosen’t really matter.
I guess it’s probably about time we grammar Nazis realize that the internet doesn’t want to be grammatically right, and go elsewhere, to some magical place where people realize that the younger looks like the elder, otherwise the statement implies that the older person (the original, as it were) is imitating someone who is younger than them (which, in a sense, suggests that the original person is imitating a person who is imitating them). Would you say a father looks like his son? No, you’d say the son looks like his father.
In the case of Gordon v. Flanders, it would be Gordon looks like Flanders because Flanders came first, as they are both fictional.
but… I don’t want to realize it. If I don’t go around correcting the grammer in comments, what will I do with my life? Hahaha.
samberg looks like early dylan. if you do it like in this pic, its anachronistic. Dylan was born wayyy before this guy. SO GET IT RIGHT IDIOT POSTERS!!!!
this is stupid, Who care who came first!!!! They don’t look alike!!!!!!!!
these two really look a lot alike!! … i am a portrait artist so i know a lot about face and facial features observation.
Andy Samberg also looks like Robert Zimmerman.
Zomg! Bob Dylan!
Yay! Im not the only 12 year old who knows who Bob Dylan is!
…right?
I actually saw that Pepsi commercial with Bob Dylan in it (played during the Superbowl, if any of you remember it) and seriously thought it was Andy Samberg. Then I realized it was Bob Dylan and went, ‘Wow, they look a lot alike.’ Of course in a different light/time/place/whatever they don’t, but in the commercial they did.
When that superbowl comercial aired my wife said “Is that Andy Sandberg?” and before I could do anything more than look at her like she was an idiot somebody else said “Yeah I think so, maybe this is from when he was younger.” I was the second youngest person at that party and I called them all a bunch of retards because they deserved it.
Um…don’t call your wife an idiot, he looked like Andy… But anyway, I’d be more worried about your friend who thought that was Andy when he was YOUNGER lol
When I heard Andy Samberg, I always think I heard “Adam Sandler”
Weird that Adam Sandler looks similar to Bob too–was played on in Reign Over Me
Bob Dylan: Peotic
Samberg: Unfunny
ANDY SAMBERG IS AWESOME!
All along the starboard,
Said the joker to the..T-Pain?
Maybe hair wise…
no…just no.
Can’t we all just get along?
Ha, I was trying to introduce my brother to Bob Dylan’s music the other day and he said the same thing. I love them both!
Also, I find it funny when people start taking editing seriously on websites like this. Haha. Oh, Internet!
Yeah, other-way-round. Bobbie-D was first, and was cooler.
thanks for the information..
Andy is so schmexah. ^_^
