Its a Bichon Frise. I don’t like the show cut it has there, I prefer the shorter style
Thank you! It bothered me that the person who submitted this called it a “weird dog.” It has a breed name, hello!
Finally an intelligent person manages to get the first post!
I used to breed and show Bichons back in the early 80’s. The face cut was not quite the same as this, it was softer and more fun, not so round with two eyes staring out from a cave. The hair on the muzzle hung down longer, not ‘out’ like the dog had been plugged into a 110 outlet. They really messed the look of the breed up.
i agree, i have a bichon and every time we take it to the groomers they cut it so oddly and almost box his face. he’s very antsy so the cut repeatedly comes out lopsided ><
Those are the two ugliest things I’ve ever seen.
That doggie is a bichon frise just like my little Miko… They are some of the most adorable little doggies on the planet, and they are very smart.
So, my response to you is…

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder.
Personally, cutting its hair so that its head is spherical only makes me want to kick it more. It’s at the perfect height, too.

I know some people who own bichon frises, and I know they’re great dogs, but really that dog in the picture is ugly. Show cuts are not good. :/

i was watching ST:TNG yesterday and came across an episode where not one but two characters in costumes had hairpeices like Spivey. if only i could find a still shot of them, i’d be able to submit my own Spivey lookalike. *sigh*

Bichons *are* weird. Shortly after getting their wool trimmed, they look and feel a bit like lambs.

Bichon Frises are totally high maintenance. My grandma has one. It took us 3 years to housebreak the damned thing. Apparently when they are newborns they have tan patches of fur… he’s 8 now and still has his.
