Actually, they didn’t model him after Jack Black at first, but during the design process he did began to look like him so they went all the way.
actually Double Fine (who is making Brutal Legend) had other character ideas which you can see if you check out their website but changed the modeling to be more like Jack, after he was picked up to do the voice over, but intertwined with their original idea

No, he didn’t look like Jack Black. Then when they got Black to be part of the game, they changed the character to look like him.

Actually, you’re wrong. The original character looked like Lemmy from Motörhead. The design of the character changed after Jack Black signed on as the voice actor. This look alike should have been posted since the Brutal Legend Guy was intentionally made to look like Jack Black.

Though I know this has been said before… Jack Black voiced the Brutal Legend guy, cuz the game designers thought the personality of the character would be best voiced by the dude. Then they decided, ‘what the heck, he would look awesome as the character too. and itll get us publicity! a celebrity on the front!’ It’s not a look alike if it’s the same person. That’s like saying “Doctor Doolittle (from the recent remakes)” ‘looks like’ Edddie Murphy.
