    first?

  2. mrsjonforeman says:

    yay! sorry i couldn’t resist. :)

  3. shampshi says:

For the record, the American Teen poster was purposely done up to look like the Breakfast Club.

  4. sk says:

    Sorta the point, dummas!

  5. A_Grungy_Hobo says:

Larry Lester got what he deserved.

  6. hachi says:

    it’s obviously done on purpose..

    • Harriet says:

Exactly. Why did this person spend the time to make this? It is SUPPOSED to look like The Breakfast Club.

  7. SKW says:

It’s an homage. Can’t argue that they DO look alike, though.

  8. Andrechi says:

It is supposed to look alike… that’s the point

  9. Rae says:

That is quite obviously intentional. God you people are getting stupid.

  10. PiLoT says:

American teen looks like a pile of bibbits anyway

  11. Dumb As says:

    Gee, ya think?

  12. ... says:

There has been so much fail on this site lately.

  13. breakfastclub says:

If American Teen really thinks they are paying homage to to Emilio Estevez with that nerdy little skunk…

  14. Fay says:

    Well duh, on purpose.
    therefore, fail.

  15. artgnome says:

posers. don’t they wish they were that cool. or even recognizable. I’ve never heard of American Teen.

  16. Brian says:

Seriously? Who the hell is screening the submissions for this site? Its a post that parodies that poster. It’s 100% intentional. Someone should just put this posting up on Fail Blog.

    • Ubeat2trees says:

Why should pointing out intentional look-alikes be excluded? Who died and made you internet god?

      • MushuPork says:

Because the whole point of the site is to show things that UNintentionally look alike. IF you didn’t catch that. Like Mick Jagger and a fish. Go look that one up. Unintentional, but true.

        • Feisty says:

I see nothing on this site that indicates it is to show only items that unintentionally look alike. That’s an interpretation.

However I do agree that they are not really funny or interesting when the similarity is intentional

          • Edghyatt says:

That’s the whole freaking point! (Excuse me)

If it’s intentional, it’s not funny. We (I, at least) come to this place to see funny stuff. Seeing intentional similarities is not funny.

      • Yapper says:

Intentional look-a-likes bore. That’s why it should be excluded.

Now when Mick Jagger and Fish look similar, it’s funny.

Otherwise it’s like explaining the joke, or the purpose of the site.

        BOREDOM, YAWNVILLE

And please…someone up there running this place.. Make this stop.

      • Clues for Hire says:

What would be the point of posting INTENTIONAL look-alikes?

Wow, this thing that was made to look just like that thing looks just like that thing! How entertaining! How amazing! Woo hoo!

Seriously, dude, are you THAT easily entertained?

    • Hoopy Frood says:

Almost every submission for the last few days has been like this. It’s not funny, or entertaining.
By this point, I think the posters are doing it on purpose.

  17. chenry says:

Oh wow, they do look the same! Like it’s almost intentional! OH WAIT. It is intentional.

Holy crap guys this parody poster looks exactly like the thing its based on isn’t that weird

  18. facepalm says:

That’s weird I never noticed where it said that the look-alike had to be unintentional, and I’ve been coming to this site since it started. I thought the only rule was that they had to look alike, isn’t that what the site is called totallylookslike.com, not accidentallylookslike.com?

    -_-

    • what says:

Well, it does say FUNNY look-alikes, and when they’re intentional it’s really not funny in most cases.

  19. blah says:

Yawwwnn…this part of the lols stuffs is getting pointless. most of it is either vaguely similar things, obvious rip offs, or in this case something done on purpose. this section looks alot like this

  20. Luke says:

They filmed American Teen in my town. I heard mixed reviews on the movie, though.

  21. snw says:

    Um … I think that’s the point.

  22. Ray says:

    OMFG People STOP

  23. MT says:

I’m so sick of these crappy lookalikes that are intentional. This site is not funny anymore. If some people want intentional lookalikes go look it up in wikipedia and research it.

  24. Anona says:

I’m not sure which is worse: The idiots who submit these, or the hundreds of other idiots voting for them.

    • Clues for Hire says:

Some people are just too easily entertained.

OMG!!!! This thing that was made to look like that thing looks just like THAT THING!!!! AMAZING!!! WIN!!!! Woot!!!

I think that may be how it goes…

  25. JS says:

C’mon, can we quit it with the homages already? Of course they look alike…

  26. Zeik says:

It should have had a disclaimer… Not a Breakfast club remake. Wasted $10 on that crap.

  27. Possumz says:

Why even have this TLL page? These are all so freaking gay.

  28. the spoon graveyard says:

    ….obviously
    seriously what are you retarded?

  29. all up in this piece says:

so if you know it’s an homage, then why is it on this sight? i agree with anona about the idiots voting for these too!

  30. Jo says:

Yeah its not funny when they look alike on purpose. Then its just dumb

  31. RudieCantFail says:

    /facepalm

  32. Giga Guess says:

Does it really count as a lookalike when the look-alike is intended to be there…?

  33. Jillers says:

people get waaaay too angry over this… why, I ask you, why?

    • bionelly says:

Agreed! I mean, yeah, it’s not as funny when they’re intentional, but is it really worth 80 comments where people are just ranting about it?

  34. Amanda H Ugnkiss says:

    Epic Failure on everyones part

  35. whatthe says:

Is there an echo in here?

You know, kids, reading through this comment section, I kind of thought that the whole thing could be copied and pasted under any of the TLLs lately. Sure, tons of different people post comments, but it’s starting to seem like I’m reading the same exact things on every TLL, and usually several times in the same comment section.
Yes, I know the drill. “If you don’t like it, don’t come here/ read this / don’t whatever, yada yada yada.” But believe it or not, I really like the comment section. Most of the time, it’s full of clever, or funny, and occasionally thought-provoking (God forbid!) things. Lots of times, it far surpasses whatever made the front page.
But more and more, there are too many people posting comments without even bothering to read what’s already been said. For instance, once “it’s intentional” is posted the first time or two, saying the same thing over and over does what exactly? Outside of boring the reader.

Well, jeez. I really didn’t intend to rant about this. So rather than risk repeating myself, instead, I’ll leave you with some totally unsolicited advice: Next time you feel the urge to say something that’s already been added a dozen or more times in a comment section, please don’t. As an alternative, pick up your keyboard and smack your forehead with it a few times. Hit the “Add Comment” button, and voila, something totally original!!

p.s. Anyone desiring to smack me upside the head with a baseball bat or ugly words for posting this, please refer to above outlined, unsolicited advice.
;) Oh, and don’t worry, I’m sure nothing of significance will result because I said any of this. I now return to my comfortable anonimity, even as you ignore me.

Hey, is there an echo in here?

  36. stevie w says:

    Hollywood……totally out of ideas !

  37. Ellie says:

Uh, what are you talking about? The guy on the right for American Teen is wearing red, and the guy on the right for The Breakfast Club is wearing blue. The two posters are NOTHING alike.

  38. Mido says:

I think it was intentional though

  39. Hayly says:

i hate when totallylookslike does obvious crap like this. its boring and i hate it. why don’t they just call it obvioussimilaritiesthateveryonehasrealized.com

  40. mamarosa says:

    Hey!

What happened to the picture ‘after’ this one?
I swear I saw a dark haired girl, with a purple and white top, and her clone, in the other picture….

    Am I imagining this…..

  41. Sunshiner says:

Win. I totally agree. Interesting indeed. As a former graphic design major, I find it amusing when advertisements/book covers/etc. use the same (or similar) stock photo, seeing how similar or different ideas are both represented by the same image; or as you said, when they pay homage to something else. And if they’re both obscure enough, trying to figure out which one ‘did it first’.

  42. David says:

    Fail

  43. Edghyatt says:

    totallylookslike.com TOTALLY LOOKS LIKE failblog.org

  44. Doc. Caliban says:

I don’t understand this site. Most of the items are “Exhibit A was specifically intended to look like Exhibit B. Look! They look the same!”

    BFD.

  45. Katie says:

    Stop it, just stop it!

  46. Neil says:

I am so sick of people who can’t tell the intentional from the unintentional.

  47. LB says:

Done on purpose. Not as cool.

  48. superyutz says:

Look at the hormones in our food….Ally needed some….sans huge breasts….she could have been a superstar!!!!

  49. superyutz says:

    OOps…..Molly…I’m just a dumb…….yutz…
But who is he babe lying down with the big t*ts?

  50. superyutz says:

Why is Anthony Michael Hall replaced by a woman?
Oh boy your in a Dead Zone…..brother!!!

  51. Dino502Run says:

The breakfast club was such a good movie!!

  52. Alexa says:

This was an intentional look-a-like. It’s a modern day version of a wonderful movie.

  53. Monika says:

What i find amusing is how they’ve changed.
The breakfest actually looks like they could be normal people. American teen looks like Anorexic holly wood actors =P

  54. who cares says:

get a life, all of you! lol

  55. gracie says:

yes, but its supposed to look like that!

  56. haley dillon says:

…because it’s an homage to the movie? silly creator person.

  57. darksoulknight10 says:

Breakfast Club is the better movie.

  58. Min says:

Ummm…I think the point of the photo for american teen was designed to look like the picture for the breakfast club….Duh….

  59. Marialuvrupe says:

    hahaha funny
i think american teen copying breakfast club :P

  60. Sasha says:

I’m pretty sure it’s a pardoy cover, some critics called American Teen ‘modern day Breakfast Club’….

  61. hello says:

    hello hello helloooooo!

  62. 0xym0ron says:

THE CLASSIC AND THE NOT-CLASSIC MEET

  63. Hamfse says:

“hey, this cat looks like a picture of a cat, lets post it on the interwebs”
