Lola’s right. It gives us a place to say nice things about him. It’s not like the Media is stepping up. They’re still on about a pathetic albeit genius with no self esteem, who stripped himself of his own dignity. . . repeatedly.

To above poster, js, MJ was not a “crappy” person, he was a lost person. You should not disrespect the memory of those who pass before you. You never know what people will say about you when you’re dead.

As for Billy Mays, I loved his last commercial: the one where he is getting other people to yell and scream about his wonderful products. It was hilarious. I hope they don’t stop running it just because he died.

My best memory of Billy Mays, if I may: Shortly after his debut as OxyClean’s pitchman, we saw the product on the top shelf at WalMart. My 8-yr-old daughter had seen the infomercial and knew all about The Marvelous OxyClean. She couldn’t reach it so I got it down for her. She started the pitch, just to me, as people came through the aisle. She sold SEVEN jars of OxyClean that day! …to people who probably wouldn’t even have looked on the top shelf otherwise. His voice may have been loud and sometimes annoying, but he made a definite impression on a little girl and got the job done for the company!
