    HA! He totally does!

  2. Momose says:

Omg wtf he just need a white make-up and 1000 knives in the pocket.

  3. blah says:

That would be a Guy Fawkes mask.

  4. maya says:

    It’s a Guy Fawkes mask.

  5. RiderLeangle says:

This site is getting bored when they’re comparing whoever that is to anonymous….. But at least it’s not a tribute…

  6. madcow says:

    LOL, Epic Fail Guy?

  7. zero52889 says:

    lol, one meme meets another

  8. beccaness says:

Uh, that’s actually called a Guy Fawkes Mask.
Which you would know if you knew anything at all.

    • plaster says:

Thank you for your relevant input and perfect timing.

      • Points Giver says:

+90 points to all people above this post (10 comments) who recognize this mask correctly.
-100 points to Coraxus. Unless, of course, you actually wear this mask and go out assassinating people out of vengeance. That would be worthy of several thousand points and jail time.

  9. YouAreDumb says:

The fact that this is a Guy Fawkes mask cannot be overstated. But the fact that OP is dumb does not need to be explained.

  10. BBB says:

Actually it’s a Guy Fawkes mask. It can’t be overstated.

  11. finn says:

    OMG! He totally does!

  12. rectangle says:

    V

  13. you fail it says:

So you watched the movie yet didn’t even bother to take note of who’s face the mask was fashioned after? Strong work.
Looks-Alike is getting to the point where it might just surpass Nostalgic Win in terms of pure suck.

  14. Ubeat2trees says:

Lol funny face Patrick Stewart is making there.

  15. wheeeeedoggie says:

See? It’s totally about facial expression.

  16. o-range says:

To be fair to most of the kiddies in the U.S., where in the history books do they learn about a British dude who wanted to blow up the British Parliament, the then-reigning English King, and all the English Catholics he could take with him? Guy Fawkes Night isn’t celebrated as much anymore as it used to be, either. So I’m not surprised that some people associate the mask only with “V for Vendetta”. Kids don’t read much these days so I suspect the movie is their only exposure to the image.

I’m going to totter off to my rocking-chair now…

    • blah says:

They associate the mask only with the movie’s posters and trailers, because if they had seen the movie, they would know who Guy Fawkes was.

      • Gandalfs Beard says:

No, Americans watch V for Vendetta and only remember V because Guy Fawkes has no relevance to them  .

Much like any history that isn’t American. Come to think about it, most American history isn’t relevant to many Americans ;) .

    • Gandalfs Beard says:

      Too True.

    • GasWeasel says:

Guy Fawkes night is still celebrated in Newfoundland, Canada. Newfoundland was a british colony until 1949, and this is just one of those things that stuck. When I left NF and went west, I was confused that no one knew who Guy Fawkes was.

    • Kayla says:

My history teacher taught us Guy Fawkes Day. Had him for Euro and US. If you walked into his classroom Nov 5th he’d wish you a happy Guy Fawkes day. He also never really recognized Oct 31 as Halloween. It was always Reformation Day to him.

Anyway, would it be too much of a stretch to consider a possibility of Patrick Stewart and Guy Fawkes having a TLL moment?

  17. Pete says:

    First

  18. Snurfles says:

I think this one is funny and just what this blog is about. Too many of your are jaded and bored. Go play somewhere else.

  19. truth says:

This is hilarious, the man is extra creepy. Patrick Stewart has passed his prime sadly.

  20. Meowth says:

I must admit, I have not seen the Movie and have never even HEARD of Guy Fawkes, except one time when someone called someone else wearing that mask by that name. I had just assumed it was the name of the Character who wore the mask in the movie. I had no idea it was modeled after a real person, just that I had seen it in Previews for that Movie, on the Internet, and at Anime Conventions. They didn’t teach much – if any – British History where I went to school, and I was never a History Buff, either, so if you all hadn’t told me on here, I would have never known that there was anyone in History named Guy Fawkes, other than possibly a character in a Movie I have little to no interest in seeing. Although, after seeing how many people like it, and that it is based on British History, I may watch it if I ever get the chance. I won’t go out of my way to see it, but if I notice it will be on Television or something I may check it out. It is not an Anime, though, so whatever.

    • The Informant says:

V for Vendetta is not exactly a historical fiction film, just to be clear. It’s more of a political anxiety film + action. It is based off a comic, but not an anime, as you say. (How did this get to be about anime?)

      • nataliejo says:

It got to be about anime because that is all that Meowth watches apparently (hence the name). Heres some advice to you Meowth: Girls in high school don’t go for the anime/manga buffs. I assume you are in high school or middle school also by reading your name. Start watching UFC or baseball, maybe you will get laid. Or if your a girl… maybe you need to watch House or something. Watching pokemon is cool and all, but do that crap in private and don’t bring it to totallylookslike.

        • BBB says:

You ain’t cool unless you pee your pants.

        • Meowth says:

Alas, you are wrong on all counts. You apparently have not read my post, or you would have noticed the part that said “They didn’t teach much – if any – British History where I went to school.” That is “went,” as in past tense. I also do watch other things besides Anime, it is just that most Live Action Movies are not as good as Anime these days, with a few exceptions. I’m not into sports, and I find UFC type things kind of barbaric anyway. I do watch House, by the way. My Meowth name is because I cosplay as Meowth at Anime Conventions. I started doing so by request, and continue to do so because that particular Cosplay of mine has become quite popular at the Conventions that I go to. Gravatar binds the Avatar to my E-Mail Address, too, so I just use the one here, and if you look at the picture, you will see why the name Meowth fits. I am not bringing my interests here any more than any of you. I am just using the name I have chosen to represent myself with, and stating why I have not seen the Movie. Oh, and Pokémon is okay for the first season, then it pretty much just continues to repeat the story and plot points over and over again. I still watch the Movies, though. They are spaced out far enough that they can still be entertaining to me.

        • Marekatt says:

*sigh* You should really not open your mouth, nataliejo. You are one huge hypocrite for telling him not to advocate his oppinions on totallylookslike (which he doesn’t), ’cause you are doing it in the very same post. And just because everything you live for is getting laid, doesn’t mean it’s valuable advice for others. Most reasonable people actually got higher ambitions of purpose than being a jock and getting some action with various sluts. BTW: my earlier use was only one of the two meanings of the word (not applying the same standard to oneself as one does to others). Now for the second, which also fits you quite well: a person who pretends to be what he or she is not. You say that Pokèmon is cool, and then you add “but do it in private”, as if he should appear in school as something he is not. You are such a huge conformist, and that stops you from being your true self and expressing your true opinions among your “friends”. Really…watching a show or sport you don’t like just to be “cool”? Hah! have fun with those friends of yours that don’t accept you for who you truly are.

        • Ubeat2trees says:

You are an idiotic twit. I assume you are very young because your lame attack on Meowth has no basis in reality. Do your parents know you’re sneaking around to use the internet?

          • Meowth says:

Thank you, Ubeat2trees, but I think the point has already been made. To everyone else reading this, please do not continue insulting nataliejo. I appreciate the support, but I don’t want to hurt him or her. What’s done is done, and I hold no malice against nataliejo. Again, thank you for your concern.

    • Gandalfs Beard says:

Thanks for proving my point further up the page  .

      • Gandalfs Beard says:

        @ Meowth

        • Meowth says:

You’re welcome. Technically, you were proving MY point, in that my Post was Posted yesterday and yours was Posted today, but I don’t let chronology get in the way of point proving.

  21. LadyAlathia says:

Wow. Why the hell does The Captain have a moustache? It isn’t flattering.

  22. diddledee says:

he was so funny as the gay opera star hitting on Frasier. i digress

  23. Dibs says:

    A) The fact that it was a Guy Fawkes mask was mentioned maybe twice in the movie. B) I seriously doubt that when they designed the mask they knew exactly what Guy Fawkes looked like.

  24. P_ezra says:

A penny for the Old Guy

  25. sunny says:

My oh my that captain is dreamy, such a hunky mustachioed man at the ripe old age of 69 …where is his career now? Oh yeah voice over acting and regional theater in england. The only film cameo he can muster is as a computer rendering of himself as a younger man in Wolverine. See creepy pic above as to why that might be.

The Guy Faulks mask has had more screen time than Stewart in the past 5 years.

The mask unfortunately looks better than Stewart.

  26. snurregrekk says:

    not so anonymous

  27. deathzep says:

    shopped. pixels.

  28. mike says:

    ANONYMOUS, MUCH?
