To avoid confusion, Gmail’s symbol should be a giant ‘G,’ thus avoiding any possible confusion with Masonic symbols.

I knew someone would bring this up. I used it because I first checked that the sources they cited were valid, and because I could link to it and then people could also check the article independently. I also linked to the article in my user name so that others could check the facts presented. Even in an insignificant discussion such as this I try to make it easy for others to check my facts.

Both images looks quite similar but Freemasons Apron picture looks quite fashionable to me. I think Google get the idea from Freemasons Apron.
