Don’t whinge – she’s unusual-looking, so is Sid. But Sid doesn’t think of himself as ugly and ugliness is, of course, subjective. No-one said she was ugly until one of you did, especially not the original poster. Wonkiness makes us human (or sloths).

She’s probably cute enough, IRL. It’s a bad angle for her, and it looks like she’s probably had Bell’s Palsy fairly recently, too, which makes smiling difficult. You either get the muscle control back, eventually, or you learn to compensate for it, but it takes practice with a mirror, and when you get tired or are surprised, sometimes you don’t get it right.

Or a gargoyle, yep… I never knew I was vain about my face until I ended up with Bell’s and suddenly couldn’t recognize myself in the mirror. Cried like a baby, the first time, and, unlike this poor child, threatened _believably_ to kill anyone who aimed a camera at me before it was better. Only my father risked it, and as I was holding his newborn baby granddaughter at the time, it was understandable. I still want to burn that picture, though.

I AM THE GIRL IN THIS PHOTO. i am beyond furious that a personal photo (that i never intended to have online) was hacked out of my computer for other bored peoples’ entertainment. This is an awful photo of me and i will attest to that. i never would have had my photo put online, let alone a website that would make fun of me.
At the time of this photo i was recovering from jaw surgery. My nerves in the right side of my face were not working, hince the “paralysis/bells palsy”
It is my assumption that the person who put this photo online had genuine intrest in hurting me and making sure i would see this.
I do NOT find this funny. It is hurtful and offensive. For all of those who say ‘id do her”, thanks, but like a previous poster said, i wouldnt even bother.
As to those who call me “ugly” or weird, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and each of you are entitled to your opnion.
HOWEVER, i would like for you to ALL consider how you would feel if someone took your least favorite photo and compared you to something with an obvious negative connotation.
it’s quite embarrassing and makes you realize people are capable of really mean things without thinking them through.
The worst part is, the administrators of this particular site (im sure this is all over the internet) wont allow me to delete this photo without ‘proof’

i can assure you that i am a beautiful grown woman now and this photo looks nothing like me now and never has! but its still trashy and in bad taste that someone ever posted this and that the rest of you think it is funny. Just put yourself in my shoes.

Jee, I feel bad that I laughed now. I hope that you find the bastard that did this to you. SUE THEM! I actually have personal experience in this. Once, a friend posted a picture of me after I fell onto a concrete sidewalk. I had my lip split, and I had to get a root canal for one of my teeth. She posted it on the bulletin board with the caption; “Nice going, we’re all ROOTING for ya!” I was humiliated for a whole year. But you know, I took it in good humor. I got over it eventually, and we went back to normal. My friend didn’t mean any harm, and I learned to forgive and forget. I think that you have evry right to be offended though. Thats terrible what was done to you, and I hope you don’t have a bumpy time trying to get through this.

Well, this made me laugh. This definitely made me laugh. Although the person in the photo is probanly humiliated, or is laughing their head off. Its probably just a bad photo. All right everyone, quit freaking out. This is just a little joke. Why’s everyone gotta be so serious all the time? “This isn’t what this site’s made for!!” “That’s sooo mean!!” “OMG!!1! This needs to be taken down!!” Get a sense of humor people. Yeah, it probably doesn’t make her feel too good, but who hasn’t been made fun of at one point or another? If you can’t laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?
Why should you need to laugh _at_ anyone? Cruelty is still cruelty even if you try to twist it around and make it the fault of the recipient for not having a ’sense of humor’. That’s just an excuse that people use to make it not their fault if someone gets hurt by something mean they say; after all, they should have recognized that it was a _joke_ and understood that that magically nullifies anything hurtful in it, right? Wrong. Oh, and for the record? It’s possible to have a perfectly good sense of humor without considering other people’s humiliation to be amusing. All it requires is enough maturity and intelligence to move beyond the emotional level of a three year old. Though you are right on the need to be able to laugh at oneself, there is a huge difference between laughing at your own mistakes, insecurities, and disasters, and _being_ laughed _at_ by others, and I really can’t imagine how anyone could not understand that.

You know, some people are so fragile they commit suicide over stuff like this. As far as I’m concerned thats basically murder. Remember the mother who posted crap like this about her daughter’s rival? That’s what happened. The other young girl committed suicide. Words can kill.

One, I’m a chick…so that’d be a little odd. And two, no I wouldn’t care. I know it’s not true. Believe me, people have said plenty of mean things about me over the years, but I’m a little more thick skinned than that.

And it is not hypocrisy but a POINT OF LAW that public figures are fair game for humour and parody, and private individuals are not, unless they make themselves public due to Extreme Narcissism (see Balloon Boy’s dad for an example).
