Quite true! In fact, a lot of the prints, posters, papers, and even some ads from back in the 50s were used in Fallout 1, 2 and 3!

So you all know, the world of Fallout hasn’t evolved beyond the 50s despite taking place in the late 21st century.
It advanced significantly past 50s technology, it’s just that in their 21st century, their social society has not gone the same direction ours has. Not that it hasn’t evolved at all.
Yeah, except for that whole microchip never being invented thing.
There needs to be a little critical thinking before submission. So many of these fall into the category of “Dur, that was the whole point.”

You guys are being pricks for no reason. It’s novel to know the source of the image, and that Fallout 3 guys are a liiitle bit lazy despite their incredible product. This is pretty interesting, esp. if you’re into graphic design.
It’s not being lazy if it was done intentionally. The whole deal with Fallout is it uses 50’s-era adverts. So their fake propaganda films about how to survive a nuclear fallout are all based on 1950’s psa’s of the same type. People on here are just pointing out that it isn’t a totallylooksllike BECAUSE it was done on purpose and it really doesn’t take much investigative work to figure that out.
How are they lazy? For going for a 50’s feel?
umm, it’s not that bethesda was lazy, they were purposely using existing 50’s era material as a tonge-in-cheek thing. The fact that people are too stupid to realize stuff like this existed before say… 1980, is what is surprising.
Also, bear in mind that the Fallout universe was not created by Bethesda, it was created by Interplay. Bethesda bought the rights to produce Fallout 3 and the upcoming Fallout: New Vegas.

Fallout 3 is a complete piece of garbage. The last patch bethesda released for it (one YEAR ago) was badly, badly glitched, and they STILL haven’t fixed it.

The 1.7 patch actually fixed a lot of glaring bugs in Fallout 3.
