Oh dear…it really DOES!
On the contrary, my friend, one of them is real. The other…is not.
Therein lies the difference.
No actually if you want to make a correction..I should have said “SHE really does.” There, all better.
No, it doesn’t. And not cool to include pics of unsuspecting people – especially somebody just trying to have lunch. Don’t we have enough attention hungry celebs to make fun of? Besides – the baseball cap and apparent lack of hair makes me suspect she may be having chemotherapy treatments. Hug your gramma!!!!
I get your point. Let’s hope you are wrong on the chemo.
She just may have thinning hair; it’s not uncommon for women. In any case, totally agreed on the unfairness of using this photo. I love nothing more than to hit the food court at the mall and see all the old ladies (and old gents) getting out and having lunch or ice cream or what have you, with their equally old friends. By the time you get to that age, you don’t always have that many left alive
Heheh, considering a secretary where I work has a calendar of Maxine cartoons that I see every day, I can’t help but find this funny.
Maxine is great. She’s like Garfield, but in angry old lady form
hmm, then i gotta check that out,, a human garfield o.O”?
Fewer lasagna jokes, though.
I love Maxine. I want to be just like her someday. And I shall wear purple.
What is with mocking some elderly lady just trying to have lunch? Really classy.
Isn’t like, illegal or something to show someone(whether their picture on the internet or on tv) without their consent?
That’s why people’s faces are blurred out on tv sometimes, cause they either didn’t get permission to show them or they didn’t want to be seen.
It’s not illegal to take pictures of people in public places- no legal expectation of privacy. But most of us DO expect that when we’re out and about, we’re not being photographed by strangers, especially when we’re just trying to get through the day.
OTOH, my first thought was I knew this lady- a former co-worker. And SHE would probably be amused by the comparison…if I said it to her. She probably wouldn’t be amused to find she was posted on a website…
Actually, I’m pretty sure the open places thing only applies to crowd photos. It’s still illegal to photograph an individual without their permission and publish the image.
That’s what I was reffering to.
Nope, in ANY public domain, you have NO expectation to privacy. If I want to snap shots of you shoving a taco down your throat, as long as I am not invading any legal privacy, I can do so.
Have you ever been to people of walmart. com
Why do you all assume she’s an unsuspecting old lady. Maybe she realized the resemblance herself and had someone take the picture. Not all older people are senile old fools. Some actually have a sense of humour.
And some Morons want to banish ME for being “PC” about clearly Racist imagery????
Where’s all the Hate for Grandma Lovers???
I think I’ve eaten at that restaurant
This is not cool. You don’t take a picture of someone minding their own business and eating lunch then post it on a website
It’s not a particularly unflattering photo. And if that lady has a bit of the Maxine character she’d probably say something like “Go ahead, take my picture and have your cheap thrill, you twinkie.”
grandma?
This is so racist (and unfunny) on behalf of blah blah blah ad nauseam and other unfunny references that failed abortion Queen of the World will make. I demand a public apology.
Go over next time, talk to her (or him) they’ll probably pose for you. I was in too much of a hurry to eat with my mom at the mall one time, so I ran my errands and walked back to seeher sitting, alone, eating tiny bites looking so much like this lady I thought it was her. Couldn’t be – turned out she had pancreatic cancer and died within a year. So, if you want to take a picture, why not pay for it with a friendly hello? I will always be haunted by how lonely my mom looked. Don’t let that happen to you -
Looks like I’m the worst person ever, :/.
I swear I saw this lady at Taco Johns in Fargo on Christmas Eve. Was this taken in Fargo?
