Actually, I think the newspapers compared them when the reconstruction of Kennewick was released. In the Nova video of “Mystery of the First Americans” they make the comparison and even have a Star Trek sound effect in the background – made my Anthro classes smile when I showed it. Me too, for that matter.
Jim Chatters, the forensic anthropologist, and Tom MacClelland, the artist who did the reconstruction, both agree that he ended up looking like Patric Stewart (or so they told my high school anthropology class when they came in to do their lecture on Kennewick Man). I think that this picture of the bust doesn’t show the likeness as well.

Eh, they’re both local so it really wasn’t that big of a deal. And MacClelland teaches college level art classes at the community college – my mother had him for a few classes. I wanted to take a class from him, but my major didn’t need art classes.
Yeah, that comparison was made as soon as they did a press release of the bust (obvious comparison, plus the baldness helps).

That’s because Kennewick Man *is* Patrick Stewart. He had to go back in time thousands of years to rescue Brent Spiner and Whoopi Goldberg but didn’t make it back with them. The Patrick Stewart in our time is a Romulan clone.
