It’s funny. Each of their individual features look nothing like each other, but somehow they still look a lot alike.
It’s the eyebrows and the smile that do it!
As you say, the rest of their features are quite dissimilar.
I think it’s also the line of the chin and the tall forehead. They still look strangely alike, though.

I can see slight similarities, but to me this is more of an insult to Seth McFarlane than anything else. Christopher Knight is looking IRL Photoshopped these days.
